Greetings, Birthday Boy

Eighteen years, six months, and thirteen years ago,
you were nothing but a familiar stranger.
In my innocent eyes, I know you.
Nothing more but that wide, cigarette-stained smile of yours.

Seconds, minutes, hours have passed;
nothing changed but something grew.
Months, years passed,
with that familiar smile I know,
that there's always this someone I can come back to.

In one roof we live together.
I knew a lot more about you than that smile.
I learned a lot -about life, and
how you live yours.

Money doesn't really matter when we're together.
As long as we're happy, having a cup of coffee,
Nothing else matters but this love.
I love you dad, more than anyone else in this world.

Birthday ng tatay ko e :P
